Here is the first run of my mind map, will be meeting the group on monday and hopefully they can help me expand this topic.

Celebrities and Design?

So for my Wiki entry i will be writing on Celebrity's and design... Was mean to be a joke at are first meeting but my group members kept saying how it could be a good one to write on. Being they are everywhere and seen by everyone, plus i guess this could do with a bit of a male prospective on it.. maybe.. we will see how this goes.

IMD - what will i research?

Well have be looking up some option and thinking about the 3 research sheets and i think i have them finalized.

My dead medium will be the early vinyl player, i say early cause the vinyl's are coming a little. Bands are still releasing vinyl albums and DJ's are one of those bring them back.

For my historical speaking machine will be the "speak and spell" an educational toy from the 80's creating the speech with a synthesizer.

And for the my new speaking machine research will be how its used in recent hand held games consoles, for example the 3DS and its predecessor DS.

Design Lectures Start

Last week i also had the first lecture for Design Studies. This was are intro to the brief and we were put into groups for are wiki making. We had a meeting after this lecture the day after and decided on everyone topics, the list is below, i shall post the image of this meeting when i get given it.

Lets Start - IMD

This is a new blog for a new year at uni so that's me starting 3rd year Interactive Media Design and soon to be Digital Interaction Design. Last week was the first week of lecture and tutorials. So here goes!

IMD and MoLi

This is the museum of last interaction brief and the theme for are museum is SPEAKING MACHINES. We are to create 3 sheets of information being the research for are idea's being;

1. A dead medium

2. A historical speaking machine

3. A modern speaking machine

For this coming week tho, I have to decide on a design and layout for these sheets and decide what we are research for these sheets

I have not decided on any of these yet but i have be thinking on the toy speak and spell from the 80's for the historical one. It could be to new for this brief's aims tho (shame :( )
